Judge Debra Urbano-DiSalvo
Judge Debra Urbano-DiSalvo has served as Amityville Village Justice since she was first elected in 2003. Prior to that she served as the Associate Village Justice and she was the Village prosecutor for five years. Judge Urbano-DiSalvo received her law degree from St. John's University, where she was a Scholarship Recipient and she graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Oswego.
Judge Urbano-DiSalvo also currently serves as the Village Attorney for the Village of Hempstead. Judge Urbano-DiSalvo has always been committed to public service as evidenced by her service as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, a special Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, an Assistant Suffolk County Attorney and an Assistant Town Attorney for the Town of Huntington. Judge Urbano-DiSalvo also served on the Amityville School Board.
Judge Urbano-DiSalvo has lived in Amityville for over twenty years and her three children, Robert, Samantha and Jacqueline have attended St. Martin of Tours School. Her husband, Michael DiSalvo, is a sergeant with the New York/New Jersey Port Authority Police Department.
Judge Urbano-DiSalvo is a member of the Amityville Kiwanis Club, Amityville Historical Society, New York State Magistrates Association, Suffolk County Town & Village Justice Association, Suffolk County Bar Association, Suffolk County Village Officials Association and has served as pro bono attorney with the Catholic Charities Volunteer Lawyers Legal Assistance Program.
