Trustee Peter M. Casserly
Trustee Casserly, born and raised in Amityville, has served 21 years as a Trustee. He was the first Chair of the Village Environmental Committee, and has been Chair of the Fire, Highway, Beach and Recreation, Judiciary and Code Enforcement Committees. He presently is Chair of the Fire and Beach & Recreation Committees and liaison to the Park Commission.
Peter received his bachelor's and Master's from Hofstra University. Employed by the Town of Babylon for the past 29 years, he currently serves as Commissioner of Planning and Development.
Peter has two children, Caitlin and Mathew.
Peter coaches and serves on the Board of Directors of the Amityville Soccer League and has coached in the Amityville Little League.
Peter is also a member of the Amityville Historical Society, the Chamber of Commerce and the Amityville LeBourget Alliance.
