The Amityville Justice Court is tasked with trying violations and misdemeanors in penal law, as well as vehicle and traffic violations and misdemeanors. The Village Prosecutor handles all parking tickets and the Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney is responsible for all vehicular, traffic and criminal (penal law) misdemeanors and violations.
Court Sessions:
1st Tuesday of the Month - 9:00 AM - Vehicle and Traffic infractions and violations and misdemeanors of Penal Law
11:00 AM - Village Ordinances and Parking Tickets
2nd Tuesday of the Month - 6:00 PM - Vehicle and Traffic infractions and violations and misdemeanors of Penal Law, Legal Aid is available
3rd Tuesday of the Month - 9:00 AM - Vehicle and Traffic infractions and violations and misdemeanors of Penal Law
4th Tuesday of the Month - 6:00 PM - Vehicle and Traffic infractions and violations and misdemeanors of Penal Law, Legal Aid is available
5th Tuesday of the Month (when applicable) 9:00 AM - Vehicle and Traffic infractions and violations and misdemeanors of Penal Law
Traffic Ticket Payments: Some traffic violations can be paid at the Justice Court by either cash or money order. Please call the Court to determine if your violation can be paid without a court date: (631) 691-3303.
Marriages: Both the Village Justice and the Acting Village Justice can perform wedding ceremonies in the Court. Please call the Court Clerk for detail: (631) 691-3303.
