Substitute School Crossing Guards are called-in to cover when there is an absence. Working for the Police Department, School Crossing Guards assist our children in safely crossing intersections in Amityville. Uniforms are provided. Staring salary is $10.92 per hour. The salary is increased to $11.52 per hour after satisfactory completion of the probationary period.
All Crossing Guard Applicants must successfully pass a background investigation, as well as medical and psychological testing prior to employment. Crossing Guards must be capable of standing for one to two hours at a time in all weather conditions. No experience is necessary; training will be provided.
F/T CUSTODIAN- Experienced custodian to perform moderately heavy manual work cleaning municipal buildings. Position temporarily starts with day shift and then changes to night shift, 3 - 11pm.
