Responsible for maintaining all of the public spaces, roadways, canals, street lights, signs, parks and Village buildings, the folks at the Department of Public Works are a busy group of people! On any given day, including holidays, you may come across the DPW trucks and employees as they work hard to make the Village of Amityville the best that it can be. During Hurricane season, they stand ready to clear the roads of any fallen trees and debris. In the winter, you can see them moving snow 'round the clock. They clean up after Village celebrations and prepare the Christmas decorations.

 JUST A REMINDER: When it does snow, please do not shovel the snow into the streets. It will impede the snow plows and create a hazard for your neighbors!
